Posted a new game in the projects section. It's a game for NintendoDS developed with libnds. It has been a while since my last programming experience on the DS so I decided to brush up my knowledges with a simple game like Splat the Rat. Hope you enjoy it!

I finally posted my first tutorial about game character's animations management. I provided a solution which I first programmed in action script for a flash game and then ported to C++ using SDL. The only difference between the two versions ( I didn't post the as3 version ) is the lack of the powerful flash timeline in the C++ version which helped me a lot to create all the animation sequences. For that reason I programmed an own made solution which basically reproduces what the flash timeline does with even more flexibility for certain operations like the possibility to let the time between frames dynamically vary. You can check out the tutorial in the tutorials section. Hope you'll enjoy it!

Hi there! Action script keeps getting more space in my life - I meet him every day at work! Yup, check out Winx Club - the online game -, a multiplayer online game developed by the company I'm working with. I decided to add more links in the - guess which - links section. Enjoy!

Hi folks, how is it going out there? This year has been very bad for me: I had a lot of problems, difficult choices to take and had a lot of disappointments to face with. The good thing is that I'm still alive and I do really have good ideas for the 2009! In any case I'd like to focus on the good things of the 2008. Last summer my friends from England came to visit me and we had a lot of good time together, I could feel a positive energy and that's a very important component of life. The other good news is that I've finished my last videogame! It's a flash game called Xmas Meltdown: Santa VS Aliens. I've totally auto produced, created and programmed the game and right now I'm having a lot of good feedbacks from it. If you want to play the game just type Xmas Meltdown on Google and enjoy the experience! Programming in AS3 it's not exiting but using Flash is a good way to show your skills to the internet so, why not? Keep up the good work out there and stay tuned!

Hi all! I got some news from kiwicode's world. First, I've added on my homepage a news-letter I programmed yesterday evening, so if you think it's worth to subscribe don't wait to add your email. Second, and most important, I'm working on a new videogame concept. That's how all started: I was programming a 3D game involving jellies and platforms ( so exiting! ) but once I had completed the engine I couldn't find a good story and main design for the game: "ok, we got Jellies, and now?". Passing through the jelly's experience I got the idea for a new game. I've programmed part of the game engine including a first level and everything seems to work as I had in mind. The entire game will be developed by the Rettilon Team, a group of talented and passionate game developers who enjoy the feedback given by making videogames. Stay tuned!

After 8 months at Impressionware I decided to quit. I'm here, sitting at my desk, for the last day. I don't wanna talk about the reasons which have pushed me to do that. Impressionware will always be in my memories as the first computer games company who believed in me as game programmer and for that reasons I'm so grateful. Thank you all guys.

Merry Christmas to all of you out there. It's been a long time since my last news and a lot of things has changed. This year has been a year under a genuine gameDev sign, with a lot of hard work and fun at the same time. Last summer I went to the Develop in Brighton conference where I met a lot of programmers and had a good time with the nice people at the conference. I got hired at Impressionware S.R.L. where I'm currently developing for handheld consoles. To find out more about our current projects check out the website. The mood at work is lovely, I whish all the software houses could be like this one. We took the usual end of the year's picture, enjoy! I'm dedicating a lot of time to game engines. I'm looking forward to provide on my website a couple of tutorials about what I've understood so far. It's a wide topic and what I would suggest you is to start from the basics on a good book ( Morgan Kaufmann series ) or on good source code. Keep up the good work!

19th May 2007

Hi there! I'm still working on my 2D platform engine and I decided to upload the source code for everyone who is interested! You can download it from the projects section. Feel free to mail me if you get stuck viewing my code, for suggestions and optimizations on the code itself.

I've heard about magical Python's capabilities from my friend Andrea a lot of times, but this time I couldn't believe my eyes! He just sent to me a .py file and "wow!", a beautiful graphic interface appeard on my screen! Python seems to be a very flexible and neat language, able to satisfy every kind of programmer, from the beginner to the expert! I added the project into the utility section, so go there to test the application!

13th May 2007

New CrypXor's version has been added! This last release has a new graphic and is more optimized. Go to the utility section to find out more!

11th May 2007

I'm working on a 2D platform engine. The application is written in Java using MIDP libraries, in fact the program aims to get me started on mobile game programming, an area that sounds so interesting in this period! Next weeks I'll upload a couple of tutorials with simple explanations about the platform and the libraries; different commented examples will be also available. Go to the projects section to download the engine!

10th April 2007

A new website has been added to the link section.

30th March 2007

Utility section has been added! On this area of the webpage you can find several programs made by me and other programmers! I'll probably also post some notes and exercises from university lessons.

10th February 2007

Site online!

11th January 2007

I'm still working on Food Maniacs. I've been coding on it since last month using SDL libs. Some screenshots will be soon available. The easy game engine works properly, I'm so happy for this because this is my first, and complete, project that looks beyond simple tic tac toe's games! We also have other stuff and projects to come!
